Waterford Riding Club hosted their Summer show at Stonehaven Equestrian Centre. Competitors spanning several regions came for the days dressage, jumping and the Derby.
The morning began with the dressage running in three rings. It was a lovely way to start the morning on the good ground and dewy grass this Sunday. The competitors each entered their respective rings focused and ready to take on the morning challenge. The organisers kept the three rings running smoothly and on time.

The days show jumping began with a good turnout for the Advanced Primary over a fair but appropriatly challenging course. Each competitor entered the ring and proved that they could face each fence with determination. The classes continued throughout the day with the primary, Intermediate combining the Green Horse, Advanced Intermediate and the Open. The standard of riding and horses did not dimish at any stage as each rider took on their competitions with vigour.
The derby began separately at 2pm. This contained a mix of showjumps and cross-country fences across a long course testing stamina aswell as ability. It was exciting to watch each rider enter in an attempt to outdo the previous competitor.
The day was a great succes and the club wish to thank Stonehaven equestrian centre for the use of their land, all the sponsors of the classes who helped provide the superb prizes and of course to their members who provided great support enabling the running of the show.
