Equine Thermography Training comes to Ireland
Equine Thermography Training comes to Ireland
Equitherm the UK based Equine Thermography specialists have announced their first training course in Ireland. The certification training course, the first of its kind in Ireland, is to be held at the beautiful setting of Mount Juliet in Co. Kilkenny from September 27th to October 1st 2010.
Equine Thermography is the use of high-specification hand-held infrared cameras for imaging horses. The cameras capture the horse’s thermal patterns and create incredibly detailed images that detect irregularities in their patterns. Irregularities show up as hot spots or cold spots and are a very good indication of injury and illness. In fact it has been proven that certain common conditions can be detected up to two weeks before they become physically apparent.
Equitherm are experts in the training and use of infra-red cameras for all sections of the equine industry and are delighted to be running their first course in Ireland.
Sandie Chambers, Director of Equitherm commented “Ireland has a great love affair with horses and regularly produces top quality horses in many disciplines. We have had many requests to run training courses in Ireland and I am really excited that we are about to run our first course. Thermography is a really valuable and simple tool to monitor the physical condition of a horse and detect any irregularities before they become serious. We’re really looking forward to introducing it to the equine industry in Ireland.”
