CORK IPS Area Annual Show September 12th

CORK IPS Area Annual Show September 12th next at Ballindenisk, Watergrasshill, is where the pony showing enthusiasts from around the country are to converge to retain or contest fifteen Championship Titles and six Perpetual Cups.  Given the fact that this is the end of year IPS show where points and a half are awarded for placings first to fourth, this is the show where IPS National Award placings are hotly competed for as the pony showing year comes to a halt.

The Judges Panel of Mr. Tim Hurley, Ms. Breid Shannon, Ms. Jean Santry and Mr. Melvyn Chadwick will have a tough task ahead of them when it comes to judging the Supreme Title this year, with competitors across the 49 IPS classes travelling long distances to perform before them. Mr. Chadwick from Norfolk will bring his expertise and experience from judging at Ponies UK and BSPS amongst other prestigious shows when judging the Mini section.

The show categories include side saddle, Mountain and Moorland (ridden, led and working hunter and lead rein), led breeding, youngstock and welsh, ridden show ponies, ridden hunter ponies, intermediate classes, young handler classes, open and novice working hunter classes, ridden coloured class, derby, mini section and local classes. Some entries may be taken on the day. Judging 4 arenas starts 9.30 am(working hunters) and 10am sharp, local classes 1pm. Enquiries to Simon Beirne on 087 2941043.  Schedule see www.irishponysociety.ie Cork Area page.
