British-based New Zealand rider Caroline Powell riding the vetran 17 year old grey “ Lenamore” produced a clear round show jumping, to win The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, finishing on their dressage score.

Waterford’s Captain Geoff Curran with The Jump Jet are currently in 5th place after the dressage phase of the Burglley Horse Trials, just 4 penalties behind the  current leader  Mary King with Apache Sauce.  William Fox-Pitt and Macchiato are currently in 2nd place .
Sarah Wardell and Kincluny are currently in 32nd place.

Classes 80cm, 90cm, 1m and 1.10m.
Juniors – under 16 on the day €40 (ponies).
Horses €50. Dressage tests are as follows:
80cm – BE 102 (2001)
90cm – BE 91 (2009)
1m – BE 92 (2009)
1.10M – BE 101 (2009)

Weather conditions were perfect for today’s event held at Ballinaclough, Co Waterford.
Fraser Duffy riding Major Furisto took first place out of the 26 entries in the CNC* finishing on his dressage score.
Fraser Duffy continued on to take winning position in the CNC* 5 and 6 year old with  Fenyas Elegance

Eventing Ireland freezes membership fees

Eventing Ireland has announced a freeze on membership and registration fees for 2010.
Membership rates will continue to be priced at the 2009 rates.
